Tara - A Short Film

Tara who has overlapping identities of being trans and dalit, finds love at a buzzy club in Mumbai. What happens when she finally reveals a part of her identity which she learnt to hide throughout her life? Does love accept each identity or reject some. This short film takes us through the journey of a dalit trans woman revisiting issues like caste, gender, belonging and desire in a bittersweet way.

Geeli Pucchi is a 43 minutes short film from the anthology 'Ajeeb Dataans' screened and watched. After the screening a group discussion took place with interesting conversations from participants reflecting upon themes like gender, sexuality, caste, female lead characters in the film and so on. The spectators suggested other films to watch together.
